About Michael Boatright

Michael Boatright is a print and multimedia professional, living in Decatur, Georgia. He has been making photographs for over forty years, learning composition, lighting and darkroom techniques from his father, who was a journalist and professional photographer.

Since the early 1990's, Michael has experimented with and developed techniques in digital multimedia storytelling, using emerging A/V hardware and software and Internet technologies. He has lead multimedia projects for the 1994 Lillehammer and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Disney's Epcot Center, the World Golf Hall of Fame, the Masters Tournament and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Michael owns and operates the Michael Boatright Photography studio in Avondale Estates, GA, specializing in dance, theater, portrait and fine art photography. He is a past-president of the Southeastern Photographic Society and an active member of the Professional Photographers of America.
